Join Sensei Gordon Green for an enlightening and empowering self-defense workshop. Each class features 2 hours of effective Aikido based self-defense and prevention -- designed specifically for women. Aikido -- "The Way of Harmonizing Energy" -- is a 20th-century martial art based on defense rather than fighting back using strength. Because of this, all is needed is the strength of a child. The idea with Aikido based self-defense is to move out of the way of an attack, and this event will show you how to do that, among much other useful information regarding awareness. This is a beautiful discipline and built for the peaceful warrior, helping people become comfortable with the uncomfortable. We plan to do this once/month (or maybe more depending on interest) through 2019 so that people may continue to practice what they learn and learn other techniques.
